Are your prices plus VAT?
No. Jordan B Consulting is not currently VAT registered, so the prices shown are the prices you pay. There is no VAT added to your invoice.

How do payments work?
For ongoing Fractional Operations Director work, I invoice monthly. Invoices are sent at the beginning of each month for the work completed during the previous month.
Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date and can be made by bank transfer or another agreed payment method.
For Chaos Audits and Chaos Builds, payment terms and invoicing arrangements will be agreed before the work begins.

What if the Chaos Build needs more time?
We will agree on the scope, outcomes, and expected timeframe before the Chaos Build starts.
Sometimes, once we get into the work, we uncover something that needs more attention than originally expected. If that happens, I will tell you before doing additional work. We will agree on what needs to change, what the additional work will involve, and any additional cost before I carry on.
I won't quietly let a project run over budget and send you a surprise invoice at the end.

Can I pause my retainer?
Yes, although I recommend completing the initial three-month commitment before pausing. Those first three months are when I am learning the business, understanding how everything actually works, and building the foundations for the work ahead.
If you need to pause after the initial commitment, we'll have a conversation first so we can agree on the timing, what needs to be wrapped up, and what happens to any outstanding work. I ask for at least 30 days' notice before a retainer is paused.
If you decide to come back later, we'll have another conversation before restarting. I'll need to understand what has changed in the business, what has happened while I was away, and whether the original scope still makes sense. Depending on the circumstances, a new three-month minimum may apply.

Do you work outside Scotland?
Absolutely! I'm based in Scotland, but I work with businesses across the UK and internationally.
If you would like me to work with your team in person, we can discuss office visits, travel, and any associated costs during our initial conversation. A lot of operational work can also be done remotely, so geography doesn't have to be a barrier.
